When veggies are good for the soul

It’s really rare to see a lot of young people just excited about vegetables. Everyone saw each fruit or veggie as something beautiful…something to admire like flowers. I still remember how Kristin got so excited when she peeled open a particularly lovely cabbage.

I loved so much that each farmer would trade their own veggies or baked goods with other farmers for dishes they wanted to make during the week. They all knew what was particularly good one week to the next.
